8th Grade Yearbook Ads on sale NOW!
Attention 8th Graders! Parents can create 8th grade yearbook Ads
now through February 24th. Go to www.yearbookordercenter.com
and use school code 10042. Space is limited so first come, first
served.
Box Top Donut Party Stats
Out of the gates, Blasingame leads quarter 3 with 120 coupons while
Eelsing follows close behind with 117 coupons, and Reyburn takes 3rd
with 45 coupons. Which Advisory class will be the next to earn a
Donut Party bringing in over 625 coupons? It could be yours! Find
em, clip em, turn em in! Then eat donuts!
Student Government Meeting
Want to make a difference on campus? Want to help make decisions?
Want to automatically get into ASB? If you are in 6th or 7th grade and
are interested in running for class president, vice president, secretary,
or treasurer for the 17-18 school year, you MUST attend a
MANDATORY informational meeting on Wednesday, February 15 in
room 3 at lunch A or B (come during your lunch). Students elected
into office will automatically get into ASB!
Fleece Fabric Wanted!! (Heart of a Hero Blanket Donations for
children with cancer)
Heart of a Hero is an organization that helps give hope to children
with cancer. They send Spiderman to visit the children and give
donations whenever possible. Tiara Simonton spoke with Ricky
Mena, the founder of Heart of a Hero, and asked how she can help.
He said they need many fleece blankets to give to the children he
visits. Tiara is preparing to make and donate blankets to the
organization but is in need of fleece fabric. She is asking for
donations of fleece fabric in 1 yard increments in childrens patterns
or solid colors. Please bring your donations to room 40 by March
16th.
GIRLS SOCCER
The girls soccer meeting will be on February 16th at 3:00 at the lunch
tables. Tryouts will be 2/23, 24 & 27 and possibly the 28th. Spread

Tardy Sweeps
Beginning Thursday Feb 16, we will institute a mandatory lunch
detention for students who are tardy. Once the tardy bell rings,
classroom doors will be closed and locked. All students who remain
outside will be swept to the center of campus. Names will be
collected and pink Unexcused Tardy slips will be handed to each
student. This pink slip will be your ticket into class, as well as a
reminder that you have been assigned lunch detention that day.
Students are expected to arrive on time to lunch detention (every
minute late will be a minute added to your service). After 15 minutes
of lunch detention, students will be excused to lunch. If a student is
tardy after lunch, they will be assigned lunch detention the following
day.
GSA Meeting
The Gay Straight Alliance will be meeting during both lunches
TODAY in room 4. All are welcome!
CLMS Young Reader Medal Program DEADLINE
All CYRM books and quizzes must be taken by March 1st. Please
return your books quickly so that others can read them to meet
the deadline.
Lunch in the Library
Visiting the library during lunch is a privilege! Students can
obtain a pass before school, during Advisory or passing periods
only to visit the library during lunch. Students must go to the
lunch tables for 10 minutes before Yard Duty releases students to
the library. There will be only 25 passes given per lunch, first
come, first served. Passes are required to be returned the same
day of checkout, no exceptions.
BUSD Student Art Show
Entries for the 15th Annual Student Art Show are being accepted
now through March 3 at 4:00pm. Any AMS student may submit a
piece of original, two dimensional artwork for entry to the show.
15 pieces will be selected, framed, and hung at the Brentwood
Community Center! Please get an entry form from your advisory
teacher or the student office and submit artwork to Mrs.
Thornhill in room 2 or 3 by March 3.
BOYS SOCCER
Boys Soccer Season is here! The Players meeting will be on
Thursday, February 9th from 3:00pm - 3:30pm at the Lunch
Tables.Get your Waiver forms to sign, meet coach Wes, and get
your questions answered. Tryouts will be February 15th, 16th,
and 17th from 3:30 to 5:00 at the Adams Soccer Field. Bring
Waiver form completed and signed (if you haven't already) Email

Stockton Heat Hockey Game w/ AMS
Adams Middle School night with the Stockton Heat Hockey team
is coming up on Saturday, March 4th at 7:30pm. Its Star Wars
night too! Wear your costume, take photos with the characters
and buy a lightsaber if youd like too. A portion of the ticket
sales will be donated to Adams Middle School! Ticket order
forms are available from your advisory teacher or in the front
office.
Track Informational Meeting
There will be a track meeting Tuesday, Feb 14th directly after
school in room 33. See coach Dalldorf for any questions.
