Shrine of Jesus Music Ministry

The Shrine of Jesus Music Ministry is the Liturgical Music arm of the Shrine of Jesus,
the Way, the Truth, and the Life in Pasay City.

From its humble beginnings with just a handful of volunteers, the ministry now has
five resident choirs. All choirs sing as one joint choir for feast days and special
occasions at the Shrine. Since 2009, they have been performing at the annual
Christmas Carols at the Shrine, a mini-performance of the Shrines resident choirs
before the anticipated Simbang Gabi Masses.

Tonight is their premiere performance on stage in a full concert.

Shrine of Jesus All-Male and All-Female Group

The all-male and all-female groups consist of alumni of university and church choirs.
Their shared love for music gathered them together in the ministry of service, which
they are sharing with the community in the 10.30AM and 5.30PM Sunday Masses.

Serenata Vocal Ensemble

The Serenata Vocal Ensemble was formed in 1990 by its present choirmaster, Allan
Argonza Puno. It has served as resident choir in Manila Cathedral, Intramuros for 20
years, in San Isidro Labrador, Pasay City for four years, and in the Shrine of Jesus
for 12 years.

Serenata has performed in numerous concerts and has participated in choral

festivals, most notable is the Madz et al series. The group won the Grand Prize in
the Ave Maria Choral Competition in May 1999. The groups objective is to give glory
and praise to our Lord Jesus Christ through music.

St. Joseph Parish Chorale

The St. Joseph Parish Chorale is a church-based self-supporting choir that has been
serving the community of the St. Joseph Parish Church, Tambo, Paraaque City since
1980. The group started to sing for the anticipated Sunday Mass every Saturday at
5:30 pm at the Shrine of Jesus in the year 2000.

Under the leadership of their musical director, Sir Ideh Paez, the SJPC began to
participate in prestigious local competitions and other events. The group has always
been invited to sing for Sunday Mass TV programs and other television guest
performances. The group continues to fulfill its commitment through its local
