About APICS
The American APICS Association for Operations Management (APICS) has been the
standard for training courses in operations management and production logistics
since 1957. APICS CPIM is the world-wide standard training for professionals work-
ing in the rapidly changing world of operations management.

There are hundreds of companies in the Netherlands whose employees are APICS
trained. The large ERP software suppliers use the conceptual framework developed
by APICS and laid down in the APICS Dictionary as a standard for communication,
resulting in a smooth communication between companies, software suppliers and
consultants. SAP and Oracle are only a few examples of ERP suppliers who use the
APICS terminology in their information systems.
APICS CPIM is a comprehensive business training course in operations management,
which focuses on all aspects of business, from determining strategy to implement-
ing production processes, from stock management to quality control. In this bro-
chure you will find a description of the contents of each of the five modules.
With their APICS CPIM certificate, professionals in the field of operations manage-
