EQUESTRIAN HISTORY:
I began riding in August of 1995 at the age of nine
About seven months after I started, I started showing locally
A couple months later, I started showing regularly on the A Rated Circuit in the short stirrup and the
ponies
As I progressed through the years, I rode many more ponies and, eventually, moved to horses
I did equitation, junior jumpers, junior hunters, and the Grand Prix
1997 Competed at The Devon Horse Show in the Medium Pony Hunter Division
1997 2001 Qualified and competed at Zones, for zone 7
1997 2001 Qualified and competed at the USEF (AHSA) National Pony Finals
2003 I rode in my first Grand Prix at Lake St. Louis
2003 Qualified and competed at the USEF (AHSA) National Medal Finals in Harrisburg
2004 Qualified and competed at the USEF (AHSA) National Junior Hunter Championships

11th Place at the St. Louis Festival Horse Show in my first Grand Prix

Champion or reserve in either the children/adult or the junior jumpers at the following shows: Lake St.
Louis, Kentucky, Colorado Summer Show, Oktoberfest
Traveled to the Netherlands to select a horse to show and eventually sell. Was involved with everything
from the transportation to watching the schooling area at the shows attended to riding horses being tried.
Broke first colt, Happy Ending (Just A Kid x Greystone Ian McVai) from the start and sold him.
Summer Position as a veterinary assistant to Dr. Hankins at the Kansas State University Veterinary
Medical Teaching Hospital

2001
Champion or reserve in either the large pony hunters, jumpers, and equitation at Midstates, Brownland,
Colorado, Oktoberfest, Tulsa Charity, Las Colinas, Kentucky, Lake St. Louis, Midway and the GO Show
9th overall in the Large Pony Hunters at Pony Finals
Member of the Zone 7 Pony Jumper team
Best Child Rider on a pony at the GO Show

Watch the birth of Just A Kids first foal, Happy Ending, did imprint training and started his education
which I continued on a regular basis until his sale in 2002

1999
Stepped Liseter Clever Star up to the large green division before originally planned.
Champion or reserve at such shows as Las Colinas and the Summer Circuit shows in Parker, CO.
Limited showing to allow the pony to mature slowly.

1998
Won the local NKHA Medal Finals on a borrowed horse
Many championships and reserves with Liseter Clever Star in the baby divisions at 2 locally
NKHA Year End Awards with Liseter Clever Star:

3rd Intermediate Equitation

1997
Purchased Just A Kid. Competed at one show prior to Devon at Prince George Equestrian Center with
respectable placings in the medium pony hunter division, then earned a 4th in one over fences class at
Devon in the medium pony hunters.
Competed Just A Kid in the Midwest only six more times before an injury ended the career of this pony.
In the eight times Just A Kid showed, I was champion or reserve six of the eight shows.
Competed with Mystical Magic in the medium pony hunters and equitation at the pony finals
Completed the AQHA Stars program at the bronze level

1996
Purchased my first pony Mystical Magic, a medium pony to do the short stirrup and eventually the
regular pony division

Attended Horse Crazy Day Camp and started riding at Chestnut Lane Farm in Manhattan, KS
