com, there are approximately
14 people in the United
States with the name Ashley
Bunker. The odds of these 14
individuals meeting are less
than five percent, yet somehow
there happens to be two Ashley
Bunkers in the same grade at
the same school.
Seniors Ashley N. Bunker
and Ashley R. Bunker have
been in the same district since
middle school. They found out
about their unique situation
when they began having
classes together.
So what happens when a
basketball star and a culinary
soldier have the same name
and preside in the same grade
throughout their school career?
Mass confusion. At least for
them and some teachers.
Sometimes when we had
the same classes together,
our teacher would mix up our
papers, said N. Bunker. She
would get my grade and Id
get hers. Eventually, I put a
symbol by my name so [the

go their separate ways, living
completely different lives on

As president, Ryan has been acting as a middleman
between the Student Government and principals, running
all meetings, and overseeing all committees.
She has also learned to create ideas throughout the
school, and help make them a reality. Ryan helps plan
assemblies like the Snowfest Games.

preparing materials for the projects we are working on
and communicating with other members of Student
Government, said Tanner.
Ryans strengths throughout her presidential career have
been being able to remain organized and taking charge in
any type of situation to improve her role.
She handles her responsibilities very well and is
making improvements in her leadership skills all the
time, said Tanner.
Although the job is a stressful task, Ryan has discovered
many things that allow her to enjoy the peer-elected title.
My favorite part is interacting with students, said
Ryan. I get to meet new people in this position and make
new friends along the way.
Taking on this lead has helped Ryan build social skills
and grow ambition toward her future.
This position has definitely taught me patience, good
work ethic, and a desire to work with others, said Ryan.
I believe that these characteristics I have gained in this
position will benefit my career.
Ryans main goal is to attend Central Michigan
University in the fall to enroll in their teaching program.
Through the ups and downs of being student body
president, Ryan is glad she accomplished such a big task
and has watched herself grow as a person.
