Timeline
In the 2004 expedition of Atlantis, in with data from the Ancient Data, was a li
st of eight-chevron addresses the Lanteans believed could be the potential locat
ion of an Ancient colony in the Triangulum galaxy. Due to the Lantean-Wraith war
, searching for this enigmatic colony lost its priority, and the project was pra
ctically forgotten about. The list itself contained thirty or so potential addre
sses, using glyphs from the Milky Way stargates. Due to the amount of energy req
uired to dial an eight-chevron address, potentially searching for another Ancien
t outpost was out of the question.
In 2005, however, due to the huge success of the Atlantis expedition, many perso
nel both inside and outside of the SGC were determined that discovering this col
ony would be detrimental to the understanding of the Ancients, as well as the po
tential of new allies and new technology. Using the stargate on P4X-639, they we
re able to draw static energy in the ionized atmosphere to acquire the power to
dial the eight-chevron addresses, which, after trials of addresses, connected. A
M.A.L.P. was sent through and revealed a small control room, similar to the one
in Atlantis. An expiditionary team was formed and sent through the gate into th
e Triangulum galaxy.
Members of Importance:
Dr. Liara Braun -
Liara Braun is a German engineer, and the leader of the Arcanum expedition. Prio
r to being offered the position of expedition leader, she was working on an Anci
ent/Asgard hybrid wraship project titled WC-305, with inspiration from Ancient t
echnology found at Atlantis. She is considered one of the leading experts on Anc
ient technology, which is one of the primary reasons she was chosen to lead the
expedition. Braun naturally has the ATA gene.
Captain Tyson Williams -
Considered the second-in-command of the Arcanum expedition, Tyson Williams serve
d six years in the U.S. Military and then another six years in the Stargate Prog
ram. Due to having a civilian leader of the expedition, Tyson was added to the e
xpedition in order to uphold and maintain the military structure within the expe
dition itself. Williams has the ATA gene through gene therapy.

Dr. Alicia Skye -

Alicia Skye, or Skye as she prefers, is a genius Icelandic astrophysicist that r
ivals that of McKay and Carter. Skye is a little antisocial, but is capable of s
oaking up knowledge like a sponge and remembering it in perfect detail. She's a
natural linguist, and, before joining the expedition, took a great interest in W
raith technology from Atlantis. She is a doctor in both the scientific and medic
al field, and is the youngest person on the Arcanum expedition.
