Note to the educator

We have such a great hope and promise in our future with our Lord. Let those who have ears,
listen! Dont you wish it was that easy in class? Wouldnt it be a great call to action to address
our students with, You who have ears, listen! We can all use some practice listening. Students

need to listen to the lessons of their teachers more. Teachers need to listen for the needs of
their students better. As colleagues, we need to listen for how we can serve. All in all, listening
needs practice. Make it a point today to notice how well you are listening. Begin with yourself
to see if you need any practice. Try to form no comebacks when your colleagues are telling

their side of a story and see if its possible to just listen. Listening may be one of the greatest
peacemaking tools we can utilize in our school communities.
