Compare features of Thailand and Australia. Answer an inquiry question, providing deep and credible information.

Students view information on writing inquiry questions. Geography Book


Students who are capable are encouraged by classroom teacher to write their own enquiry
question related to this weeks research topic.
Teacher assesses suitability of individual inquiry questions and suggests any improvements
prior to students beginning research.
Students utilise Microsoft Word to take notes as they research. Teacher may instruct Geography Book
students on how to split a screen in order that students avoid flicking back and forth from Scissors
the internet to Word. (may take notes manually in Geography Book)
Glue
Students print out their research notes and paste them into their Geography Book

Students read information and instructions for writing an information report.


Teacher supports students in writing an informative report in answer to their inquiry
question, with an Introduction, Body and Conclusion.
Students print reports and paste in Geography Book.
