This past Wednesday we had the pleasure of having Brad Robins speak to our class. There were two professional qualities that I now believe are necessary for success in his field.
The first professional quality is entrepreneurship. Now, this quality is vague
and can be interpreted in many ways. I can say I think about this word and think being bold as the root. From listening to Brad he talked a lot about pushing boundaries and standing out as long as you do not cross any legal boundaries. You have to take chances, especially in the world that he thrives in. Being inginuitive and unique is key to having a long, lasting career.
The second professional quality is philanthropy. Again, I am sure that this is
hard to understand as being a quality but I think it is something that you need to possess in order to be successful. Have a philanthropic focus allows people to see who you are and what you care for. In any business if you do not genuinely care about someone or something, and you are not passionate, there is no way for you to connect to others. Therefor no one will care for the work that you do.
