World Food Programme, Indonesia invites applications from the eligible candidates for the following position:

Position: Coordinator (Project Laser Beam)


Contract Type: Special Service Agreement/Service Contract
Duration: 6 months with possibility for extension
Duty Station: Jakarta, Indonesia

Accountabilities:
Under the supervision of the Country Director, the Project Laser Beam Coordinator will be responsible for
managing Project Laser Beam and providing technical advice for nutrition improvement activities implemented
under the WFP Country Program. Within delegated authorities, the PLB Coordinator will be responsible for the
following duties:
- Collaborate with public and private sector in the design and implementation of interventions within a
coherent project strategy
- Coordinate communication amongst UN agencies, Government, NGO, and private sector partners, and
represent PLB on behalf of WFP
- Coordinate project monitoring and evaluation
- Report and disseminate results
- Provide technical guidance in the design and implementation, including monitoring and evaluation, of
WFP program activities based on the nutrition improvement approach
- Support the programme unit to prepare WFP’s operational plan, specifically lead the design and
coordination with stakeholders of activities with objectives to improve nutrition security or nutritional
status
- Identify funding opportunities to prototype innovative interventions
- On behalf of WFP, advocate for increased multi-sectoral commitment to accelerate the reduction of
maternal and child under nutrition in Indonesia and improve the impact of Indonesia’s food assistance
programs on food and nutrition security

Qualifications & experiences:


• Advanced degree in Nutrition or Public Health or related area
• 6-8 years work experience in the area of food and nutrition in developing countries at a UN agency, NGO
or Food company
• Exposure to and/or clear understanding of nutrition programming and policy and public-private
partnerships.
• Good knowledge of the region and particularly experience in Indonesia highly desirable
• Experience in leading teams
• Experience with implementing projects and programmes and in developing countries with multiple
partners
• Strong coordination, analytical and networking skills, technical experience in research, analyzing data,
writing, reporting and presenting outcomes of projects
• Skills to communicate, liaise and coordinate with multiple partners
• Strong verbal and written communication in English and Bahasa
• Ability to work independently, cultural sensitivity, resourcefulness, maturity of judgement, a big plus
