Best Defense Against FLU!!!

Follow these simple steps:

Wet your hands with running water either
warm or cold.
Symptoms may include: Apply liquid, bar or powder soap.
Lather well.

fever/chills Rub your hands vigorously for at least 20
sore throat seconds. ...
Rinse well.
muscle aches Dry your hands with a clean or disposable
towel or air dryer.
fatigue If possible, use a towel or your elbow to turn
off the faucet.

Actions Against Flu:
Wash your hands often and
thoroughly with soap and water.
Use an alcohol-based sanitizer on
your hands if soap and water aren't
available.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose or
mouth whenever possible.
Avoid crowds when the flu is most
prevalent in your area.
Practice good health habits. Get
plenty of sleep, exercise regularly,
drink plenty of fluids, eat a
nutritious diet, and manage your
stress.
Why get the Flu
Vaccination??? What is the flu?
Influenza (flu) is a contagious
disease that spreads around the United
States every year, usually between
October and May.
Flu is caused by influenza viruses, and
is spread mainly by coughing,
Flu Vaccine Can: sneezing, and close contact.
Keep you from getting flu,
Make flu less severe if you do get it, and
Keep you from spreading flu to your
family and other people.
Flu Vaccine cannot Prevent:
Flu that is caused by a virus not
covered by the vaccine, or
illnesses that look like flu but are not.
There is no live flu virus in flu shots.
Flu vaccines cannot cause the flu!!!!!
Flu is more dangerous for some people.
Infants and young children, people 65 years
of age and older, pregnant women, and
people with certain health conditions or a
weakened immune system are at greatest
risk.
