Throughout the time line the maps have

been very important to the everyone in the world

and in the timeline for them, but the maps are the
way they are by the knowledge of the century they
had then or now. In 150 AD ptolemy made a book
named The Father of Geography In here he
made a map that
reaches Canary
Island to Korea. As you can see by the map they
didnt discover a lot of land. There knowledge of the
land was very little. They thought that the rest of the
world is made out of land and not water. Now we
know that most of the land is water. The next map
show the world in there own way again, but advance
the other one. This map is Joan Blaeu, Atlas Maior,
made in 1662. This map reaches from canada to
australia. This map is obviously more advanced than the
other one because of the time line it has. This made it
have more knowledge, the other one had discovered
less land. This one has more land discovered and
know that most of the land is water, yet this map is still not as advanced as ours.
This map doesnt have Alaska in it because they still didnt discovered it yet. To
end it all off is the map we have today, google map. Google maps reaches from
Alaska to Australia. This map is made in this century and is way more developed
than the others. This map has all the counties in the world and since it is on the
computer with satellite it will be updating every time and wont stay the same. To
conclude the maps that I have pointed out are made by their knowledge that they
had about the land. That is why we discovered more land to make our maps to be
more advance.
