Arudha Lagna (AL) and Arudha

Padas

Planets placed in 3rd house and 6th

house from Arudha Lagna and material
or spiritual pursuits
Kroora Grahas (Rahu, Saturn, Ketu, Mars even Sun) are said to
be well placed in the 3rd house and in the 6th house from
Arudha Lagna (AL). Why ?
Because:

3rd house is Duschikya Sthan ( ) in the kundali

of Kaal Purusha ! Duschikya Sthana promotes: anger,
aggression, and forcefulness in the character of a native.

6th house is of overcoming the obstacle, defeating the

enemy, and be at the zenith of executing acute/pensive
acts.

Consequently, when such kroora planets (because of their

intrinsic harsh nature) are placed in these two houses from
Arudha Lagna: 3rd house and 6th house they promote
ruthlessness and harsh treatment.
Hence, native does the karmas to help promote, maintain and
defend his own material status (Arudha lagna) aggressively
and forcefully.

This is very good for most material pursuits and for

professions, where one needs to prove his/her might or
superiority over rivals or to be called a winner etc. By being
active attacker improves one image ( Arudha Lagna) and scope
of influence on others in material world.

But real Saints are totally different from these worldly

achievers, they never impose, nor do they retaliate or do any
aggression. Surely, they have somya grahas /natural benefices
(like Jupiter, Venus, un inflicted Mercury and Moon in paksha
bala or having digital strength) in 3rd house and 6th house
from their Arudha Lagna ( AL) or they have no planets there at
all.
Graha Arudha
The word Arudha Pada means => mounted one or something
that manifests in the physical world and we can perceive it
with our five sense, it also means a symbol that represents
something so that we can have meaning out of it.

Just as we have Arudha of Bhavas (house) similarly we have

Arudha of Grahas, that shows the manifested Intelligence that
natives apply to various subject matter. It also shows the
manifested Intelligence of other people in the life of the na tive.

Maharishi Parashara teaches Graha Arudha and Bhava Arudha

in the same chapter.

My attempt to explain Bhav Arudha and Graha Arudhas via the

game of cricket :

For example in the game of cricket when we see the score

board we can find out what is the situation of the game at a
particular time and in the end we can evaluate who won the
game.

So the scoreboard is the Arudha Pada (Mounted Symbol of the

cricket match) which tells us about the status of the match.
Someone who has not seen the live match can give us great
insight about the circumstances of the match just by looking at
the score card of the match.

Similarly, when there is an appeal for Out, the umpire raises his
index finger in the air to declare the batsman out in favor of
the fielders otherwise he does nothing. He has to expresses his
decision in a certain manner so that all can understand and
can make a meaning out of it.
Umpire acting and behaving in a certain manner to the appeal
of the fielding side is the Graha Arudha Pada of the Lagna lord
(Intelligence)/ and or 5th lord (decision making) of the umpire.
Because he is manifesting his decision by doing so.

Late Shri C.S Patel in his beautiful book on 'Arudha systems of

predictions ' has curled out various verses from classics on
Bhava and Grha Arudhas. One verse from Bhrigu Nadi, from the
book for the readers.

"If Chandra Arudha Pada is occupied or aspected by Benefic

Planets (Venus, Jupiter, Moon [8th Tithi Shukla Paksha to 8th
Tithi Krishna Paksha] and uninflected Mercury) then maternal
family of the native is prosperous and maternal uncle is wise
and loveable man.

This information may enlighten many on Arudha System of

Jyotish, who think that it is only taught by Maharshi Jaimini.
Infect DevKerlam (Chandra Kala Nadi, a renouned claasis) also
has many verses explaining results using Arudhas of
bhavas/grahas.

In addition to this Maharshi Parashara in Brihat Parashara Hora

Shastram teaches Arudhas in great detail.

Rashi Tulya Navamsha/

:
1st Principle !
This write-up is focused on elaborating the undisputed power
of Navamsha (D9) also called Dharmamsha and its majestic
influence on Rashi chart. All alone, Rashi chart is almost
nothing !

Dharmasmsha shows blessings of Shri Vishnu and hence is

crucial/primordial to say anything concretely based on Rashi
chart only.
Practical Case Study: The lady consulted me for some of the
sever problems her children were facing. After all discussion
was over, she just had one question for herself.

Q1. I have Raj Yogas in my chart but they have not yet
functioned or given any results (She is already 60+). When will
they fructify ? I lead a life of a normal housewife..

My answer was: No Madam, there are No Raj yogas in your

chart ! The yogas you are talking about in your Rashi chakra
are not supported by Navamsha chakra or Shri Vishnu hence
they will never fructify.

Please do not expect any great results ! Let us see why and
how..

Rashi chart of the native

Navamsha chart of the native

1st Principle of Rashi Tulya Navamsha: The planets (grahas)
forming raj yoga or dur yoga in Rashi chart if are placed in 6/8
or 2/12 positions in Navamsha then that yoga will not fructify
or will give almost no results.

We can see that in her Rashi chart there are many Laxmi
(trines) Naryan (quadrant) yogas. The Lagna is considered both
as a trine and a quadrant, so it is immensely auspicious for any
native.

The Lagna Lord (Mars) is placed in the 10th house and 10th
lord (Sun) is placed in Lagna: it is a Raj yoga ( parivartana or
exchange yoga) that assures great position and authority to a
native.

But are they supported by Navamsha (D9) ? The answer is:

No !

We can see that Sun and Mars are placed in 6/8 houses from
each other in Dharmamsha (D9).

The story of this yoga is unfortunately over, after observing

this !
2nd Principle !
Further we can see in Rashi chart that Sun (being quadrant lord
of 10th house) and Jupiter (being trine lord of 5th house) are
conjoined together and they form Raj yoga.

Rule: Planet X placed in the sign of planet Y will not give full
results when these 2 (X and Y) are placed in 2/12, 6/8 Houses
from each other in Navamsha (D9).

We can that Jupiter and Sun are placed in Scorpio in Navamsha

(D9) but both Mars and Ketu lords of Scorpio are in 6/8 house
from both Sun and Jupiter in Navamsha. Hence this yoga will
also not fructify also.

So accordingly we should first check Navamsha chart and

evaluate the support for any good or bad yoga present in Rashi
chart and then only pronounce results.
