1 ALC Introduction
Avaya Learning Center (ALC) (formerly known as Avaya University) provides Partner sales, design and
technical associates with training information for Avaya products, solutions and services, including
courses, schedules and curriculum maps. Using the Avaya Learning Center site the partners can select
- curriculum roadmaps
- check course details
- view training transcripts
- register for and complete courses and assessments

For registering for an account with Avaya Learning Center please log on go to www.avaya-learning.com
and follow the outlined below steps
- Existing Users - when accessing the new Avaya Learning Center for the first time your Login ID
(Username) remains the same. However you will need to establish a new password using the
Retrieve your password via email link
- New Users should go to Create your own account link and use your custom Username and
password to find and register for courses Or you can take advantage of the Guest Account log-
in to view curriculum maps and course descriptions.
o By creating an account you gain access to several key features of the Avaya Learning
Centre including your personalized transcript, dynamic certification content and
advanced curriculum maps and training
o Note: If you have a member of staff already has credentials with Avaya Learning
Center he/she should contact the Avaya Learning Center Helpdesk at
avaya.u.emea@accenture.com to update the employer details on his/her student
profile updated and matched to your account

2 Avaya Connect Program Sales & Technical
Competency Requirements
1. Each Business Partner must have the minimum number of Sales and Design Credentials for each
solution offered in order to sell that solution.
 At least two Sales Specialist credentials (APSS) per UC, CC and/or Networking (Data) solution set
per country. It is recommended that every sales associate achieve an APSS.
 At least one Design Specialist Credential (APDS) per UC, CC and/or Networking (Data) solution set
per country. SME does not have a Design Credential.

3 ALC Registration
3.1 Creating an ALC Account
1. Go to www.avaya-learning.com and click on Login or register Now to create an account

2. Click Create your own account

3. Check the radio button Business Partner Registration

4. Complete online form and click Submit to create your account with ALC.

5. Receive a confirmation e-mail and verify your information to activate your ALC account.

4. Review system requirements and helpful downloads in Useful Links section

5. Use the shortcuts to access the Learning Navigator, Certification Program or information about the
Certification Partners

6. Mange you training and review your transcript, schedule and analysis in Quick Links section

7. Review your To Do list at the bottom of the page

8. View your Calendar, Favorites, Current Registrations and Completed Registrations

3. Each Professional Credential is explained by clicking on a layer or holding it over an APSS, APDS,
ACIS, ACSS or ACSA layer

4. View the Related Links to see the exam registration information, policies and procedures as well as
other useful links regarding Avaya Professional Credential Program.

6. View the Curriculum Map where all courses and assessments for the curriculum are listed on the
page. You can review the Credential Overview or view the Curriculum Map. The Curriculum Map
highlights ALL of the training courses available. Courses are listed in the recommended order they
should be completed.

4.4 Utilizing Curriculum Pricing Tool
1. ALL Curriculum Maps allow access to the Curriculum Pricing Tool. Click on Estimate Pricing and
Time and the Curriculum Map will show the total price and the time required to complete training.

2. Export map to Excel. Map can be customized to REMOVE courses already completed uncheck
boxes. Total Price and Estimated Time to complete the training are displayed.

4.5 Understanding a Course Legend


1. Course legends are displayed at the bottom of the screen. Various symbols on the Curriculum
Maps are used to highlight the course delivery media, course status, etc.

4.6 Viewing Course Description and Schedule


1. To review the course description, schedules or enroll, select the course number or title. Web based
preparation courses (Prerequisites) will also be highlighted in the description.

2. Review the summary: learning objectives, system requirements, prerequisite activities, schedule
and pricing and additional information

4.7 Enrolling for a Course


1. Choose the session you would like to attend and click on the Register button.

2. Review the location and confirm all student details and request approval. Course joining
instructions are confirmed directly by email.

- Course Title (e.g. Selling IP Office)
- Key Words (e.g. IP Office)

1. Use the Avaya Learning Navigator to access the curriculum map.

2. Simply click on the Solution & Product Training you need and view the results. Youll find
everything you need on a single page
- Avaya Learning Highlights
- Curriculums
- Professional Credentials
- Product Authorizations

3. By clicking the specific curriculum you will find the appropriate Curriculum Map

5 ALC Sales Authorization Curriculums
5.1. Navigating to Sales and/or Design Credentials Curriculum
1. Select Information tab/ Avaya Certification Program
2. Choose APSS-SME/UC/CC/Data or APDS-UC/CC/Data
3. Check course details
4. Register for and complete courses and assessments
5. Check training transcripts

6.1 Useful Information
1. Learning Partners: Go to Information/Certification Learning Partners to find out about Avayas
training partners

2. Learning Programs :Go to Learn/Catalogue to find out all of the courses listed for every Avaya
product

3. Training Schedule: Go to Learn/Training Schedule to view the most suitable day for you

4. Training Locations: Go to Information/Training Locations to view the location closest to you

5. Training Proposal Tool: Go to Plan/Training Proposal Tool to create a proposal for you or your team

6.2 Useful Reports


1. Reporting Tools Go to Learn/Learning Activity Evaluations to review the training results

2. Reporting Tools Training Proposal Tool based on your selections allows to create a client
ready proposal including certification, course descriptions, pricing and much more

3. Reporting Tools Go to Learn/Learning Activity Reports/Training Transcript to view your course


activities and status

4. Manager Dashboard: Switch to a Manager tab to obtain a summary level view of completed training
activities, credentials earned and the status of assigned training activities for your direct reports.

7 ALC Training Manager Assignment


7.1 Assigning a Training Manager in ALC
1. To set up a Training Manager for a company the Training Manager application has to be
completed (see the attached files). Note: the document requires signatures of the Training
Manager and the Corporate Officer
