THIS WEEKEND - Monthly Senior Food Drive
We are grateful for your continued support
of the monthly Food Drive for Seniors.
Please, when donating your food items,
check for the expiration date since we are
prohibited from giving out items that are
past the expiration date. You may also do-
nate grocery gift cards. They are used to
purchase frozen food items for the seniors and to
keep our shelves supplied with nutritious food items.
Lenten Confessions
Our Lenten Confessions will be held at
Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church each
Monday, 6-7 p.m.
Attention
Communion
The Department of Spiritual Care at Yale
-New Haven Hospital (York Street Campus) is in need of
additional Extraordinary Ministers of Communion to vol-
unteer once or twice a month or more to bring Holy
Communion to our fellow brothers and sisters. Holy
Communion is offered everyday so Eucharistic Ministers
could choose to volunteer on any day although Saturday
through Tuesday have the greatest need currently. The
hours are flexible to meet your schedule. If you are in-
terested in volunteering, and currently an Extraordinary
Minister of Communion and would like more information,
please contact:

Orientation and training will be provided by the Depart-
ment of Volunteer Services and Spirtual Care at the hos-

LENT BEGINS MARCH 1
There will be a Prayer Service with
Distribution of Ashes at 6:00 p.m.
Toiletries Drive Extended until the weekend
of February 25/26
Consider donating your unused beauty samples, extra
toothbrushes, toothpaste and floss samples, hotel toi-
letries, soaps, shampoos, deodorants, shower caps,
lotions, etc All items collected will be donated to the
Mens and Womens Shelters in New Haven. Your
help and support is greatly appreciated.

Mens Retreat
February 3-7, 2017
Congratulations to the following men of our parish who
attended the yearly Mens Retreat at the Holy Family
Passionist Retreat Center in West Hartford, CT on Feb-
ruary 3-7. They are: Rich Palleria, Fred Sette, Bill
Popoli, Frank Kelly, Gary McDonald, Todd Sweet, Jerry
Gigliotti and Bill Lucas.
Durring a special ceremony Bill Lucas received his 25
Consecutive Year attendance pin.

Religious Education
News
There will be no CCD classes on Sunday, February
19th and Tuesday, February 21st.
CCD classes for grades 7 10 resume on Sunday,
February 26th. Classes for this session will include all
the Sundays in March. Class is 9:30am 12:00
noon.
The Office of Diaconate Formation, Archdiocese of
Hartford announces a Pre-Application Program for
Catholic Men (age 35-60) interested in the Diaconate.
Those interested in applying for the next class of Di-
aconate Formation must first attend the following two
informational sessions. If married, spouses must also
attend. Diaconate Formation encompasses vocational,
human, spiritual, intellectual and pastoral dimensions.
All sessions will be held at St. Thomas Seminary, 467
Bloomfield Avenue, Bloomfield on the following dates:
