Nexus 2000 : Routing Protocol Neighborships
Routing Protocol neighborship across FEX requires Priority
queueing for Control Plane traffic at FEX HIF, among others.
Currently this feature is only Supported on Nexus 7k starting
6.2(2), except for N2248PQ.

Note:
Nexus 5000/6000/9000 Series switches do NOT support this. Routing-Protocol
It is not recommended to connect high performance / critical Neighborship
servers to a FEX, rather use the Parent Port. HIF

On the N7k-FEX, this option may be used for non-critical low

bandwidth devices that need routing neighborships.

Configure 16G FC Ports on UP FEX

To support 16G FC, the fabric mode on the parent Nexus 5600 should be
in 40G mode.
Only odd-numbered HIF ports can be configured as the 16G FC.
When the odd-numbered HIF port is configured as 16G FC, the adjacent
even-numbered ports must be changed to the out-of-service state. Those
adjacent even-numbered ports next to it cannot be used.
When the speed is set to Auto, the 16G host port comes up at 8G speed.
For the ports to come up at 16G speed, use the switchport speed 16000
command to explicitly set the speed to 16G.

Configuration of 16G FC Ports on UP FEX

To support 16G FC, the fabric mode on the parent Nexus 5600 should be
in 40G mode.
Only odd-numbered HIF ports can be configured as the 16G FC.
When the odd-numbered HIF port is configured as 16G FC, the adjacent
even-numbered ports must be changed to the out-of-service state. Those
adjacent even-numbered ports next to it cannot be used.
When the speed is set to Auto, the 16G host port comes up at 8G speed.
For the ports to come up at 16G speed, use the switchport speed 16000
command to explicitly set the speed to 16G.
stg-5672-16G-1(config-vsan-db)# interface fc121/1/11
stg-5672-16G-1(config-if)# switchport speed 16000
