weaknesses. It is our job as educators to provide
students with the best possible education. Depending
on the student, which may mean modifying their work
or placing them in least restrictive environments each
with the goal of encouraging their personal and
academic growth.

What Services Are Provided?
IDEA Act is an education act to provide federal
financial assistance to state and local education
agencies to guarantee special education and related
services to eligible children with disabilities.
504 Plan is a civil rights law to prohibit discrimination
on the basis of disability in programs and activities,
public and private, that receives federal financial
assistance.

responsibility of the school and are performed at no expense to
child/parent. Parents must consent to evaluations and placement

IDEA- Placement must be in the least restrictive environment
