Assisted in the pancreatic cancer department in Dr. Rajs lab on a project pertaining to overcoming nucleoside analog
chemoresistance in pancreatic cancer, and learning the various molecular biology techniques involved in experiments.
Authored a blog (http://anushasing.weebly.com/) about research experience at OSU to help guide prospective high school
students interested in research.

Mechanisms of Human Health and Disease Program at Nationwide Childrens Hospital, Columbus, OH 2016-Current
Ranked in Top 8 - Completed a fast paced research program which selects 30 high achieving high school students from
central Ohio to master college level material in subjects such as Organic Chemistry, Cancer and Pathophysiology. Presented
an independent disease project on cancer, and went on field trips to OSUs cadaver and clinical labs.
Accepted as a teaching assistant for the upcoming summer program and will be having monthly meetings to plan an
independent group project on personalized medicine, social events, presentations and field trips to research labs.

Intern, Eye Care Professionals, Powell, OH 2016

Collaborated with an Optometrist in a contact lens project to check the prescriptions of over 3000 contact lenses, and shadowed
various professionals such as Ophthalmic Technicians, Optometrists and professionals in the contact lens department. Facilitated
pretesting and glaucoma testing of eye in exam room, and has accumulated over 45 hours of interning experience at Eye Care
Professionals.

Volunteer, Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, OH 2015-Current

Assisted in greeting patients, facilitates patient discharges and assists in tasks such as first impressions, recycling of batteries and
delivering flowers, accumulating over 100 hours of volunteering experience to date.

Attained selection for an internship at a surgery hospital. Witnessed live knee surgeries in the operating theatre and met surgeons,
anesthesiologists and doctors to gauge understanding of their roles in the hospital, experiencing various departments in the hospital.
