Assisted in the pancreatic cancer department in Dr. Rajs lab on a project pertaining to overcoming nucleoside analog
chemoresistance in pancreatic cancer, and learning the various molecular biology techniques involved in experiments.
Authored a blog (http://anushasing.weebly.com/) about research experience at OSU to help guide prospective high school
students interested in research.
Mechanisms of Human Health and Disease Program at Nationwide Childrens Hospital, Columbus, OH 2016-Current
Ranked in Top 8 - Completed a fast paced research program which selects 30 high achieving high school students from
central Ohio to master college level material in subjects such as Organic Chemistry, Cancer and Pathophysiology. Presented
an independent disease project on cancer, and went on field trips to OSUs cadaver and clinical labs.
Accepted as a teaching assistant for the upcoming summer program and will be having monthly meetings to plan an
independent group project on personalized medicine, social events, presentations and field trips to research labs.
Intern, Medical internship in Nova Specialty Surgery Hospital, Hyderabad, India May 2014- June 2014
Attained selection for an internship at a surgery hospital. Witnessed live knee surgeries in the operating theatre and met surgeons,
anesthesiologists and doctors to gauge understanding of their roles in the hospital, experiencing various departments in the hospital.
