Dr. Ismail was born in Mataram, Indonesia, on 10 August 1969. He finished his bachelor degree on
Engineering of Physics in Institut Teknologi Bandung. He continued to get Master degree in Electrical
Engineering of Universitas Indonesia, Jakarta. He get the doctoral degree in Electro and Informatics
in Institut Teknologi Bandung.
Currently he is Director Of Broadband Development in Ministry of Communication and Information
Technology Republic of Indonesia (Kominfo).
