1. Topic sentence of what the image shows

2. Overview sentence about the results or main features

3. The stand-out statistics / point

4. The other points / statistics

5. A concluding sentence which includes relationships,


possible developments, conclusions or implications.

To score full marks for Content, they must include some reference to relationships,
possible developments, conclusions or implications.
Tip Describe image

Tell your students to focus on the main information in the image

Encourage students to ask: What is the main idea being shown by the image? What
are the details relating to the main ideas?.
They can use the erasable noteboard booklet to note down key ideas and phrases that
relate to the main information and the explanatory details.
