Mardi Gras Brunch Celebration

Washington, DC February 26, 2017Beads & Beignets is a creative and festive interpretation of New
Orleans diverse identity. The immersive experience of artistry, style, music, cuisine and mixology will
take place on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at the Old Engine 12. Chef Jasmin Renee Presents Cooking
Couture is taking over the kitchen to debut her delectable Creole style cuisine that will take your taste
buds back to the French Quarter of New Orleans. Rhythmic delights by trumpeter, Alex Parchment, will
bring you vibes straight from Bourbon Street and Dj Black Santa will close out the celebration with
exactly what Mardi Gras exudes, Jubilee!

The Secret Ingredient
Chef Jasmin Renee embodies our favorite part of food. You know it. It was your grandma, mom
and favorite auntie's secret ingredient: love. Although she grew up in suburbs of Philadelphia,
Chef Jasmin traces her roots back to Louisiana, where creole recipes have been passed down
for generations. While Chef Jasmin is trained in both Classic French and American cuisine, her
heart lies with Louisiana French Creole. She prides herself in being able to elevate down home
classics and transform them from ordinary to extraordinary. "I have taken my classically trained
skills, and my family recipes and turned them into something special."

Old Engine 12 offers a fully stocked, top-shelf bar including brunch favorites, Mimosas and
Bellinis, but since it's Mardi Gras let's do it right with some of New Orleans' best... The
Specialty Cocktail Menu will include favorites such as the Hurricane, Vieux Carr, and Daquiris
all sponsored by Cap City Beverage, Tambour, Miolo, and James FC Hyde Sorgho Whiskey!

Each $50 ticket includes a reserved seat, two (2) drink tickets, an amazing Creole style brunch tasting
menu by Chef Jasmin Renee, live entertainment, great music and a swag bag full of goodies. Space is

Time: 11am 4pm; due to the venue's seating capacity we are offering brunch at two times. 11am - 1pm
and 1:30-3:30pm.
Seating Instructions: Each guest or table must select their respective seating time and be sure to arrive
on time. Groups will not be seated until all members have arrived.

About Chef Jasmin Renee:
Chef Jasmin Renee specializes in American, French, and especially Louisiana French Creole
cuisine. The call of the kitchen first lured Chef Jasmin to Philly, where she apprenticed for acclaimed
Chef Daniel Stern. Under his tutelage, Chef Jasmin rose through the ranks eventually going from
apprentice to prep cook at Chef Stern's acclaimed R2L restaurant. She went on to expand her career
working for Starr Group Restaurants such as, Butcher & Singer, Barclay Prime, and Parc. Chef Jasmin
has also had the great fortune to be able to work with and train under world renowned chefs such as:
Marcus Samuelsson, Mark Twersky, Terence Feury, and French Master Chef Georges Perrier. Some of
her esteemed clients have included: Comcast, Jack & Jill (Philadelphia), Urban League,
Philadelphia Link Inc., Rutgers University, Bread for the City, as well as professional athletes
from both the NBA and NFL. Chef Jasmin's love of food is only matched by her love of people. It's
only fitting she's collaborated with nonprofits in both Philadelphia and Maryland and helped to give
back to the community. Chef Jasmin offers a variety of concierge services, meal prep, in-home
cooking classes, event catering, private catering and is available for travel.
