SETTING OF ICE CUBE MACHINE


01 If expansion valve setting is disturbed for resetting fully open valve
Then seat one turn and see one lot if cube not proper again turn one turn and see another lot.
02 First fully open the hot gas valve then run machine up to one lot
If ice cube is not come properly then tune the expansion valve
Titer one turn clockwise and take one lot and add gas if require.

SETTING OF CAPACITY CONTROL VOLTAS COM.

If you want to unload the compressor turn stem ante clock wise
If you want to load the compressor turn stem clock wise
EXPANSION VALVE ADJUSTMENT
To Reduce the superheat turn the adjusting stem Counter-Clockwise.
To Increase the superheat turn the adjusting stem Clockwise.
Notes:- Expansion is already set and tested in factory theirs on need to set.

CONVERTION OF SYSTEM R12 INTO R22

01. Compressor

 First we change the piston with aluminums piston.


 Then change the valve reed both suction & discharge.
 Connecting bearing if it not proper change
 Compressor main bearing pump & seal side both change.
 Make a harder in discharge line 6”X8”
 Oil seal must be cheek and change.
 Compressor pulley must be change.50% less then old pulley.
 Expansion valve must be change with R22
 Heat exchanger must be add in system as per require size
 Shaft play must be minimum therefore seal work properly
02. Condenser
• If water cold condenser make header on discharge line.
• If air cold condenser make same as water cold
• And increase air flow as per R22 required.

AMONIA GAS HEAT LOAD CALCULATION

01. to cool 1000 liters of water from 10 C0 to 5 C0


Weight of 1000 liter of water = 1000 Kg.
Heat to be removed to cool from 10 C0 to 5 C0 = 10-5 = 5
i.g. (specific heat of water = 1)
= 1000 Kg. X 5 C0 X 1 = 5000 Kcal

04 To cool 300 US gel. Of water from 53 F0 to 45 F0
Weight 300 US gel of water = 300 X 8.33 = 2500 lbs
Heat to be remove 53F-45F0 = 8F0

=2500 lbs X 8 X 1 = 20825 BTU

05 To cool 1000 liters of calcium chloride brine from 2 C to -3C (specific heat of brine
= 0.73, specific gravity of brine = 1.182)
Heat remove 2C to (-3C) = 5C

= 1182 X 5 = 5910 Kcal

06 To cool 1000 litter of calcium chloride brine from 10oC to -3o C ( Specific heat of brine =0.73
Specific gravity of brine = 1.82)
Weight of 1000 litter of brine = 1000X1.182 = 1182 Kg
Heat remove to cool from 100C to -30C ie by 50C

= 1182X5=5910 Kcal
