We have been asked to provide design details for a retaining wall positioned at the back of the footway in Leicester. The information I have is:

Retaining wall will be up to 900mm retained height (maximum)

All vehicle restraint systems and boundary fences / screens will be separate to the retaining wall and will not impose any loads.

Retaining wall is to be designed in reinforced concrete.

Drawings showing site location of the wall(s) are being prepared in Bangalore

Deliverables and assumptions:

Design calculations are required for a reinforced concrete wall, 900mm high.
Wall to be designed for 900mm height only and adapted for each site location
Both vertical faces of the wall will be clad in brickwork.
The wall foundations are spread footings. All services can be moved (if necessary) to accommodate the footings.
The wall will be designed for HA surcharge loads.
Design for vehicle impact loads is not required.
Vehicle restraint systems, boundary fences / screens will be separate from the wall and will not impose any loads on the wall.
Drawings Combined GA and RC drawing. Rebar schedules to be incorporated on drawing.
Design check will be undertaken in UK.
Specification to be prepared in UK.
Design calculations & drawings required by 24th February 2017.
