-The potentiometer controls the current of the circuit.
THE OFF-STATE FORWARD VOLTAGE
If the current at the gate is enough, the SCR will let the current pass through and the LED is light up.
2) SCR( READING USING PROTEUS)
The reading was taken before turning the potentiometer.
The reading was taken after turning the potentiometer which is after triggering the SCR, therefore the LED lights up.
3) DC VOLTAGE( READING USING MULTIMETER)
READINGS BEFORE TRIGGER THE GATE.
READINGS AFTER TRIGGERING THE GATE. THE VOLTAGE HAS DROPPED BECAUSE THE LED HAS LIGHT UP.
4) DC VOLTAGE( READING USING PROTEUS)
READINGS BEFORE TRIGGER THE GATE.
READINGS AFTER THE GATE TRIGGER. THE VOLTAGE HAS DROPPED BECAUSE THE LED HAS LIGHT UP.
5) The errors that occur when do this experiment:
The position of hand when holding the multimeter to the circuit component. -Cannot move the hand when the reading has been done, because it will change the reading. The eye position when reading the multimeter. -The eyes must be straight which is parallel to the multimeter. Zero error -Must reset back until it shows perfect 0 when we dont measure anything. The legs of the components are easily breakable. -must use tapered nose pliers to bend the legs of the components.
6) When Proteus, the readings are more accurate compared to what we do
