The advantages of Inventory Management System of SAP B1 module are the following:
1. It has an excellent item management.
The system allows the users efficiently manage items either individually or by group with
the use of Stock Keeping Units (SKU), item codes, supplier catalogue and foreign
description.
2. It has goods issue and receipt control.
The system records the goods issued and received. It also tracks the stock transfers and
enables drop-ship and consignment.
3. Up to date, efficient reporting
The system can easily generate reports with up to date information which can be of
great help in making decisions regarding the matters about the inventory.
4. It helps improve the services to customers
By using the system, the chances of having stock outs and shortages will be lessen
because of its excellent inventory management. It also helps in making on time delivery
to customers.

In the long run, the cost incurred in managing the inventory will be lessen because of the
