Reading Lotto
Your second Reading Lotto is due on
Friday. Staple all 4 books reports to it
and make sure to get your Lotto signed!
Any coupons you are using need to be stapled to the
Lotto sheet. If you are finished, you can always go
ahead and work on finishing the 3rd one early. Once
all 3 have been turned in, you can choose to work on
a Blackout Lotto. Remember, you do NOT have to
write any book reports for the Blackout. But you do
need to fill out each box, and you still need to get a
parent signature. If you do finish a Blotto you will
be able to participate in a Read-o-Rama Day in June.

The literature unit test is
this Friday!
We will be studying for the Number
The Stars test at home and at
school this week. As always, a
parent signature will be required
to verify you studied. Also,
study evidence will be assigned for each
night. Check out the website for what the test
will be like. There are 4 sections, and each
section is is clearly explained. There are also
sample answers of what the Theme short
answer and How the character changed short
answer should look like.
Showcase
project
The information for this project has been posted
on the classroom website. Please take the time to
access the link called Showcase and read this
carefully with your child. The Project
Confirmation Slip has been given to your child.
Please sign and return the Project
Confirmation by Friday.
A Project Log has also been provided for every
student. This log will be used to keep track of all
the artifacts that s/he will be creating. It will also
be used to write label sentences for each artifact.
We will be talking a lot about this project in class
this week.
The first artifact will be done in class this
week. Whew! That means it will NOT impact
homework. The topic is Geology.
Starting next week, there will be Showcase
artifact homework. However, the artifact
SENTENCE will always be written together in
class so that part should never impact homework.
What a relief!
