General
This instruction sheet contains all necessary information required to assist in the correct
installation of ARGUS C Series Panel Antennas.
Unpacking
Make sure that the antenna and the accessory items listed below were provided and not damaged
during transport.
Antenna
Mounting kit (mounting kit components are given on mounting assembly drawing supplied).
Hex Key (6mm AF) and cap plug (supplied with adjustable downtilt antennas only)
Installation Instructions
1. Ensure a torque spanner is used when tightening fasteners, see table below for
the correct torque specification.
1. Attach the mounting kit assembly to the antenna, before trying to clamp the
brackets to the pole.

Pivot Bracket
1. Attach the lower and upper mounting bracket assemblies to the antenna, before
trying to clamp the brackets to the pole.
2. Downtilt angles of 00 and 20 through to 100 in 10 increments can be obtained
with the correct adjustment of the tilt arm bracket.
For 00 downtilt the tilt arm may be stowed as show in Figure 7.
20-100 downtilt can be achieved by aligning the corresponding hole in the
tilt arm to the pivot bracket which mates against the mounting pole, as shown in
Figures 5 and 6. The first hole is for 20 downtilt, with each consecutive hole
resulting in an increased inclination of 10.

trying to clamp the brackets to the pole.
2. Downtilt angles of 00 through to 120 in 20 increments can be obtained with the
correct adjustment of the tilt arm bracket.
For 00 downtilt the tilt arm may be stowed as show in Figure 11.
20-120 downtilt in 20steps can be achieved by aligning the corresponding
hole in the tilt arm to the pivot bracket which mates against the mounting pole,
as shown in Figures 9 and 10. The first hole is for 20 downtilt, with each
consecutive hole resulting in an increased inclination of 20

WARNING: During downtilt adjustment ensure the hex socket is not turned past
the range of 0 to 10 as shown on the downtilt indicator scale. Forcing the hex
adjustment beyond this point may lead to damage of the downtilt mechanism.
Using power drills and electric screwdrivers to adjust downtilt may also lead to
damage of the downtilt mechanism.
Figures 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23 show the configuration of the positive and negative slant
polarization ports for single and multi band antennas. The tilt adjuster scale and port for remote
interface is also highlighted.
The downtilt angle in degrees below the horizon is read from the angle
indicator scale. For antennas fitted with two sided scales they are read
Electrically against the metal face and for one sided scales against the orange
Adjustable Downtilt coloured face on the clear window. As the downtilt is increased, the
Antennas Indicator indicator scale protrudes further past the face, revealing further
Scale graduations of degrees. A cap plug is provided to snap over the downtilt
adjustment screw as a tamper deterrent. The cap can be prised out using
a screwdriver if access is required to the adjustment screw.
