OBJECTIVE:
This assignment is designed to assess the ability of students to provide an analytical and
integrated discussion on roles of school counsellors and effective intervention strategies that
have been used to help school students tackle their personal issues at schools.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Your attempt to address the question below must be supported by the following:
1. Past research literature
2. Data gathered through interview with at least two school counsellors
3. Any other relevant resources such as books, website articles, etc

QUESTION:
One important role of a school counsellor is to help students cope with personal
issues such as psychological stress, school bullying, relationship problems, and
interpersonal conflicts. Explain how school counsellors play their roles and how
intervention strategies are used to tackle those issues effectively. You can support
your explanation by interviewing two school counsellors to gather information on
intervention strategies used by them.
