Dear Sir or Madam: January 31, 2017

I have been asked to write a letter of recommendation for Jinger Haynes. I am the superintendent
and varsity volleyball coach at North Branch Area Schools. I have had the distinct pleasure of
getting to know Jinger very well over the past six years. She is one of the most respected female
seniors we have at North Branch. It is her warmth and sincerity that endears her to everyone who
has the pleasure to know or work with her. I have witnessed the respect her peers have for her both
in the classroom and on the athletic court. Jinger commands this respect because of how she
conducts herself at all times, and because of her attitude of helping others.

Jinger has received excellent grades while taking advanced placement courses in high school and
has an overall grade point average of 4.022. She takes a very rigorous class schedule while
participating in a varsity sport at North Branch that is one of the top programs in the state. Jinger
will graduate as the valedictorian of her senior class. A typical day for Jinger includes dual
enrolled college classes and Advanced Placement classes from 7:20 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. every day. She
then hustles to practice which typically runs from 2:45-5:00 p.m. daily with all day tournaments on
Saturday. After getting home from practice, she spends the majority of her time with her studies.
Jinger is a person that will always give everything she has to be the very best in her life. She has
this same attitude about community service and helping others.

Jinger is involved in many volunteer activities in the North Branch community and school system.
She is the National Honor Society Vice-President and she is the President of the 2017 graduating
class. She is also very involved in her church youth group. Jinger has helped out with school food
drives and has volunteered to sort and pass out food at my local church. She does not seek
recognition for this as she would rather quietly do her part to assist those less fortunate than
herself. Jinger is committed to being the best possible individual she is capable of while in school
and in the future.

This young lady has experienced success in the classroom, in her athletic endeavors, and in her
quest to be of service to others. Her greatest attribute is her ability to make others strive for
excellence. She expects the most out of herself and demands others also give their best effort. She
is well respected by the teaching faculty and her peers for her honesty and integrity. Jinger has
always conducted herself with elangance and class. She values educational athletics and exhibits
the highest degree of sportsmanship both on and off the court.

This is my 31st year in education and I have crossed paths with thousands of students in my role as
a teacher, coach, and administrator. If Jinger were a professional athlete, the media would describe
her as a once in a generation type athlete. I know her to be a once in a generation type person.
Words do not express the regard that I have for Jinger Haynes and the commitment to excellence
she has made in all endeavors while at North Branch Area Schools.

Sincerely,

James D. Fish
North Branch Superintendent
