Packing Codes

1. Scope
Table 1 provides a DuPont mechanical packing code identification for convenient reference
purposes on drawings and in correspondence. Acceptable materials and vendors for the DuPont
packing codes are listed in DuPont Engineering Specification SU1C. Refer to DuPont
Engineering Standard U2C for packing selection. General packing reference standards, including
those for O-rings, are given below in Section 3.

2. General
Important! On drawings specifying DuPont code numbers, reference should be made to DuPont
Engineering Specification SU1C. This specification can be sent to DuPont contractors to show
acceptable materials and vendors for each code number
