2. System Description
2.1 System outline
2.1.1. Appearance & dimension
Wireless Modem Sending the system status OMC and receiving the control
7
signal from OMC
(option)
[Figure 3. Module description]
The transmit signals strength are detected in power amplifier and it monitors on OMC
terminal.
The monitoring range is as below
- Downlink path : +5dBm ~ +40dBm
2.3.2 Output power ALC function (Auto level control, power limit)
It performs attenuator in RF Module and provides output level control through system
gain control to meet installation environment.
- Range : 30dB
- Gain error range : within 0.9 dB
Gain control for Uplink path performs to apply offset value within 0 ~ 15dB and it is in
proportion with downlink gain.
Main control unit detects the system temperature and performs temperature
compensation function comparing compensation table parameter. It controls
compensation attenuator in RF Module.
And also, system has sensitive thermal PAD, it minimize gain variation caused by
Using the GUI screen, user easily find out the system status.
- Normal operation, Shutdown, AMP operation and others
DC +27V/4A
Output voltage & current
DC +6V/5A
The following figure shows the system architecture and signal flow.
When the Base Stations signal inputs to Donor Antenna (or Link Antenna) through air
interface, the reverse signal extracts from Duplexer.
After that, the divided signal converts IF frequency through LNA and BPF(Band Path
Filter).
The converted IF signal go through IF SAW Filter and amplifying. It processing in DSP
board for elimination of feedback signal and it converts RF frequency.
When the mobile station signal receives at service antenna through air interface, the
signal is divide between forward signal by Duplexer.
The signal converts IF frequency through amplifies by LNA and go through BPF.
The basic circuit architecture is the same as the Downlink path, only different thing is
system gain control characteristic.
Communication Trouble
Trouble: When connecting equipment with laptop and cannot control GUI.
Solution: Check cable connects of laptop and equipment.
Check if SERIAL TO USB DRIVER is Installation on laptop
The cable connections of Repeater and this Remote Maintenance Program operating
PC are as below.
The Repeater provides one connection port to connect with external equipment.
General Description
- Air linked with BTS through the link antenna.
- Air linked with Mobile station through the service antenna
- Standalone Structure
- Monitoring and Control with USB Communication
