1 Beginning the Lesson

12-13 Developing the Lesson


Minutes Teacher will play a video based on Ephesians 4:32 Be kind and
compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ
God forgave you.
Teacher will explain
- we all make mistakes but we need to say sorry and we have to correct our
mistake. We have to be changed once we know about our mistakes.
Teacher will have one students read Luke 23:34 Jesus said, Father, forgive
them, for they do not know what they are doing.[a]
Teacher will explain
- Just like Jesus Christ forgive those who crucified Him, we also have to forgive
others. Jesus Christ did nothing wrong but He was crucified. We have to
forgive others because we are forgiven by God.
Teacher will read Matthew 18:21-22 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked,
Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against
me? Up to seven times? Jesus answered, I tell you, not seven times, but
seventy-seven times.

- We have to forgive others because God has forgiven us and love. We can see

2 Closing the Lesson

Teacher will ask why do we have to forgive other? Let students share
- Because we feel good in our hearts when we forgive others.
Teacher will ask all students to read Colossians 3:13 (NIV) Bear with each
other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone.
Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Formative Assessment Differentiation


Check for understanding Teacher will show a picture of Jesus on
