1. DRAFT
Structural Project includes the construction of an extension of the second floor
of the dwelling house located in the Race to Thirty Eight (Cra 38 A) of the nom
enclature of Bogota Urban D. C., on the current building, owned by Mr. Hardy Nav
arro. All the expansion will consist of a concrete slab that will close the seco
nd floor, which will be held on the third floor of the house. The building will
be built for use in homes, and will consist of a bedroom with closet, a bathroom
and a balcony. The extension is outlined in constructive structure constituted
by Gates in reinforced concrete structure in the two orthogonal directions, that
will rise from ground level to complete the height of the second and third floo
rs, and closing the archways by a tile deck . The plate on the third floor mezza
nine for expansion, will be solid slabs 18 and 20 centimeters thick 3000 psi con
crete and finished in stucco and paint. Contain the extension one (1) lateral ac
cess stairs to the third level, two (2) intermediate landing stage with blisters
, precast reinforced concrete 1.00 meters wide, which will built on the side wal
ls. The brick masonry shall consist of common baton clean, and building block fo
ur (4) partitions. The new foundation will be built in reinforced concrete, and
will consist of eight (8) square blocks of 1.20 meters x 1.20 meters, built on a
foundation floor to 0.80 meters from ground level, which will support the eight
(8) columns of 0.25 x 0.40 that will rise to the original archways with a heigh
t of 4.60 meters and beam interception, and will continue until its closing thir
d floor at a height of 6.90 meters with superior trapping beams, which are insta
lled on the roof tile closing of the planned extension. Enlargement is expanding
the category of residential construction HOUSING primary use, according to the
area of enlargement and the height of the same (third floor). We attended the NS
R-98 standard seismic zoning, earthquake resistant design and construction.
2. Industry standards
Jorge Cortes Gaitan El Barrio, where is located the Expansion Project of housing
, is a three layer Barrio (E - 3) according to the bedding plane of the Capital
District, is currently approved Zonal Planning Unit 40 UPZ Forest City, Code 9,
permitted floor area for sectors A and I use to a residential area with limited
land areas of trade and services.

3. SEISMIC LOCATION OF THREAT
Decree 074 of January 30, 2001 by which identifies the limits of seismic micro z
oning and design spectra taken to Bogota D. C., and according to Article 2. of t
his decree, you get: Seismic Risk Zone 3 Peak acceleration = 0.20 g East Lake A
It is composed mainly of soft clay deposits with depths over 50 meters. Deposits
may appear casual mobs and / or intermediate thick sand bass. It presents a pre
-consolidated surface layer of variable thickness not exceeding 10 meters. For s
eismic risk zone within which the structure is located in evaluation, soil type
is S3, and the coefficient of the site is 1.5. The liquefaction potential of thi
s soil is zero. According Microzonation map of the city, the study site correspo
nds to a micro seismic zone 3 Lake A, with Sa = 0.588 which indicates a medium t
hreat of earthquake movement. On the outskirts of Bogotá, there is no active fau
lts, and therefore not expected to have very near earthquake epicenters. The nea
rest active fault is located on the east side Quetame Massif.
4. Earthquake-resistant DESIGN PARAMETERS
