 Abstract
This report explains a study about small area in the Botany Bay council was chosen for a small
residential housing project. The proposal is to construct 10 housing units in an area of bushland
within a semi-urban setting and in an area of cleared vacant land. The land with the Deposited
Plans (DP) Number 1156675 has been selected for the development and will be subdivided. The
land is large enough to have a boundary road and street setback for the proposed housing unit.
The vegetated site is greater than 10 Ha. This report consists of following seven maps, Aerial
photo (with existing roads and other infrastructure), Land descriptions and cadastre of the target
area, Zoning map of the site, Vegetation classes with the slopes on the bushland site and adjacent
cleared areas, Site map showing size of bushland as well as bushfire threat (including prevailing
winds), Bushfire Prone land map; and BAL 29 buffer line.

 Chapter 1 Introduction

1.1 Introduction or Background
