Questions 26 - 31 are based on the following passage.

1 Final call for Megastar Flight 13. Passengers, please proceed immediately to boarding
gate 23. Thank you.

2 The stragglers made their way to the inner hall, their bags having been scanned and
security- cleared outside. They were the only travelers left inside the transit lounge; they did not head
towards the gate straight away but made a beeline for a trolley laden with hand- luggage which was
identical to their own. They took out these bags and threw into the trolley the bags they had been
carrying up till then which contained only soiled clothing. They then boarded the Megastar and took

strategic positions with their bags on their laps.

3 The airliner took off and before long drinks were served. The three men and two women,
the party that had changed bags, had their eyes closed and remained in their sleeping stance until
lunchtime. Then all the passengers were ready for a nap and some were already in slumber land. It was
at this juncture that the man who was sitting closest to the pilots cabin unzipped his bag and drew out
a small but lethal- looking automatic. He hit the chief steward over the head with the butt and calmly
walked into the cockpit. Meanwhile, the other four terrorists, wielding similar weapons, stood guard in
their respective places silently but purposefully. No passengers protested.
4 The terrorists in the cockpit was explaining to the captain precisely what he wanted. The
captain knew it was pointless to argue. The terrorists eyes and gestures evidenced his fanaticism. The
captain ordered the co- pilot and the engineer to follow suit. He then spoke to the passengers,
requesting them to relax, to remain as calm as they could, not to attempt any bold deeds.

5 Please fasten your seatbelts for a while, since I am expecting a little turbulence soon.
Cabin- crew, please see that all safety belts are well and truly fastened.except for our unexpected
guests, of course.
6 The co- pilot and the engineer got ready. The terrorists did not notice that the fastening of
safety- belts was not applied in the cockpit. The steward and stewardess were also preparing
themselves. The NO SMOKING sign was on. The turbulence is approaching now, the captain
announced. He flicked on one of the switches easily without the safety belt on. The turbulence
began, initially fairly gentle. He stroked another small lever above his head. This activated the seepage
into the passenger compartment of an invisible odourless gas. Within two minutes, everyone,
passengers, cabin- crew and most importantly, the four unsmiling zealots with the automatics, lay in a
faint and would be out of the world for at least two hours.

7 Back in the cockpit, the turbulence switch was raised a notch. The remaining terrorist
had nowhere to sit. He dared not cling onto anything for fear of touching a control. The cockpit rattled
and lurched. He slipped to the ground. The co- pilot and the engineer leapt into action, one grabbed the
gun, the other bashed the startled man over the head with the heavy toolbox under the seat and tied his
hands with flexi cord.

8 When they landed, the elite anti- terrorist squad took the terrorist off one with his head in
bandages, the other four semi- conscious but giggling from time to time. Many of the passengers
thought it was all a dream but upon checking with each other, realized it was a real mid- air drama.

I was angry with my friend;
I told my wrath, my wrath did end.
I was angry with my foe:
I told it not, my wrath did grow. And I watered it in fears,
Night & morning with my tears:
And I sunned it with smiles,
And with soft deceitful wiles.
And it grew both day and night.
Till it bore an apple bright.
And my foe beheld it shine,
And he knew that it was mine. And into my garden stole,
