Adoption Intention
Introduction
Cloud computing is paradigm which combines several existing IT technologies into one
service. Most of the IT technologies that are being used in cloud computing are already being
used individually, such as virtualisation and Web 2.0, but in cloud computing some of their
capabilities are selected to create the cloud environment. Cloud computing was a dream in
the sixties, when John McCarthy predicted of the power of computing to provide utility
services. In order to achieve this goal, a number of paradigms have been developed such as
grid computing, but none succeeded in offering a public service the way cloud computing
has. Cloud computing offers several benefits for enterprises. The cloud frees organisations
from having to set up an IT infrastructure and allows them to rent resources and pay only for
the services they use. This can reduce costs and save a lot of money for both small and large
enterprises. In addition, cloud computing increases flexibility and offers an attractive
opportunity for enterprises to grow However, some organisations still concerns about the idea
of shifting a present system to the cloud.
Objectives of study:
Research Methodology:
LITRETURE REVIEW:
Hayder H.,Hassan Z(2015) studied on factors that influence the users adoption of cloud
computing services at Iraqi Universities, Iraq. in their research they have used 379 sample
size to collect data. They have used stratified sampling method. They have used questionnaire
method to collect data. Their finding of the study are related to individual users and
educational institution it is worthwhile to mention that did not use any moderators proposed
in original model of UTAUT. Also related to the benefits and barriers of using cloud in
developing countries are rare.
Saedi A(2007) studied on an integrated theoretical framework for cloud computing adoption
by small and medium-sized enterprises at Department of Information Systems, Faculty of
Computing, University Technology Malaysia, Malaysia. In this study, the researcher chooses
organizational level for analysis. The normal methods used in ANT involve qualitative data
collection techniques such as interviews, document analysis and other methods used in
ethnography the research questions and objectives, this study offers a new CC adoption
framework to both SMEs and CC service providers. the research almost has reached its aims,
there are some unavoidable limitations. In-depth interviews was conducted only on a small
sample size.
Appasha A., More S.(2016) studied on adoption of cloud computing by higr education
institutions in Maharashtra, india. In their research they have 34 education institutions. They
have used cloud service or website portals for data collection. Factors in the adoption of
cloud computing is higher education also investigated experiential research is based on
technology-organization-environment(TOE) framework, the research identify the technology,
organizational and environment factor that directly affect the adoption cloud computing.
Their was recommend to include additional factors related to the bandwidth connectivity to
the cloud service provider.
Nouf A., Wills G.(2014) studied on factors Influencing an Organisations Intention to adopt
Cloud Computing in Saudi Arabia, In their research they have used it company for collecting
data. They have used semi-structured interviews. The interviews were conducted with it
experts at different organisations. Their finding was cloud computing offers several benefits
for enterprises such as cost reduction and green it. Also research consider how to encourage
organisations to adopt cloud computing.
Wahsh M., Dhillon(2015) studied on A Systematic Review of factor affecting the adoption
of cloud computing for E-government Implementation, Malaysia(2015) they have used 203
respondent for collect data. They have used convenient sampling. Their finding was factor of
the diffusion of innovation were highly frequent.
Alsanea M and Barth J(2014) studied on Factors Affecting the Adoption of Cloud
Computing in the Government Sector at Goldsmiths College, University of London. In this
study, concerning factors which have been established as critical predictors of technology
adoption. the study describes a survey conducted through a set of questionnaire in order to
collect primary data, descriptive and inferential statistics are employed to analyse the data
gathered. In this study, the adoption of cloud computing in the Saudi government sector was
studied and the results facilitate an understanding of the movement to cloud computing
technologies.
While in my study I have studied about impact of perceived ease of use on perceived
usefulness and relationship between perceived usefulness on adoption intention.
