Location: Medical Sciences Building 1204

Course Description: This course focuses on English language development through producing active and
engaging presentations. The linguistic elements focus on broadening vocabulary and improving English
listening and speaking fluency. At the end of this course students will be able to prepare appropriate visual aids
and deliver presentations with accurate voice control, body movements and eye contact.

Course Materials: Prepared by the instructor and students. Materials may also
be available on the course website. There is a textbook required for this course.

3 Attendance is mandatory. Each unexcused absence is a loss of 2% of your final grade.
a Excused absences must be validated by submitting the appropriate documents to your
department office. A photocopy of each document must also be provided to your course
instructor.
b Graded in-class activities which are missed due to unexcused absences will receive a score of
0. Students who miss graded in-class activities due to excused absences will be unaffected.
