ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION
AND ITS IMPACT ON EARTH

ABSTRACT

Environment the surrounding or conditions in which a person, animal or

plant lives or operates. But as we know in todays scenario there is no
environment is present to interact. They all are destroyed by the handling of
humans. Environmental pollution is one of the major threats as we faced today.
The major source and cause of the pollution is the humans. Different type of
environmental pollutions such as air pollution, soil pollution, noise pollution,
water pollution etc destroyed our earth from inch by inch. The use of pesticides
destroys the quality of soil and it also brings certain diseases to humans.

The activities of human such as use of vehicles, pesticides, etc will

destroy our earth, it pollutes of our earth. It will cause Natural disasters like
tsunami, Flood, Cyclone etc, diseases like Cancer, Skin Diseases etc. The
climate of earth is decreased day by day. One of the major impact of
environmental pollution is global warning and climate change. Melting ice in
Artic and Antarctic region and increase rise in sea level.
INTRODUCTION

Environmental pollution refers to the introduction of harmful pollutants

into the environment. It has a hazardous effect on the natural world and on the
activities of living beings. The major type of environmental pollution are air
pollution, water pollution, noise pollution, thermal pollution, soil pollution and
light pollution.

Deforestation and hazardous gaseous emissions also leads to

environmental pollution. During the last 10years the world has witnessed severe
rise in environmental pollution.

We all live on planet earth which is the only planet known to have an
environment where air and water are two basic things that sustain life. Without
air and water the earth would be like the other planet no man, no animals, no
plants. The biosphere in which living beings have their substance has oxygen,
nitrogen, carbon dioxide, oxygen and water vapour. All these are well balanced
to ensure and help a healthy growth of life in the animal world. This balance
does not only the life cycle of animals and plants.

But man as the most intelligent animal, never stopped being inquisitive,
nor was he content with the boundaries of nature. His quest for knowledge and
search for security succeeded in exploring newer and wider avenues of mysteries
that remained baffling so long.

With the dawn of the age of science and technology, there has been
growth and development of human potentials and it is here that man first began
losing control and become prisoner of h is own creation.
Sources and causes

The source and cause of environmental pollution include the following

such as industrial activities like the fall of smoke, the swirling gases, industrial
effluences and the fall out of scientific experiments became constant health
hazard pollution and contaminating both air and water. Another source is
vehicle; the smoke emitted by vehicle is a big problem in todays situation. The
urbanization and rapid growth of industrialization and causing through
environmental pollution. The population overgrowth particularly in developing
country there has been surge in demand for basic food occupation and shelter.

Effect:

Environmental pollution has negatively affected the life of both human

beings and animals. Almost all of our gains in the fields of industrial progress,
science and technology had so far been realized at the cost of our health. The
environmental pollution is not caused by the fallout from nuclear test or
industries alone. The smoke left behind the automobiles and other vehicular
traffic, the increasing use of synthetic detergents, nitrogen fertilizers and
insecticides contaminate both air and water. Air pollution may cause severe lung
disease, asthma, brain disorder diseases etc. Soil pollution may have negative
effect on farm output ratio, noise pollution have negative effect on hearing on
auditory sense organ. The heat generated by industries and vehicles cusses
thermal pollution by raising the environmental temperature of the nearby areas.

What then is the remedy?

There surely cannot be any radical solution for the existing factories
cannot be broadly lifted to a place far from the populated zone. Deforestation
should be stopped and forestry should be developed. Researchers may find out
how to avoid harmful smoke from running vehicles.
CONCLUSION

We can very well notice the abnormal behavior of the seasons. The cycle
developing clogs in its wheels and the worried experts fear that the disturbed
balance in the biosphere has assumed such serious proportion that very soon our
world would be inhabitable like Hiroshima of 1945. But it is heartening to find
the entire world aware of the menace. Some of the advanced countries have
already taken some measure to meet it. If we fail to restore the ecological
balance right now, it would be too late tomorrow.
