PROJECT OVERVIEW
Seattle City Light will be replacing aging utility poles in your neighborhood to help improve and upgrade
the electrical reliability in your area. In addition to installing the new poles, Seattle City Lights contractor,
Magnum Power LLC, will relocate the old poles electrical wires to the new poles and replace some of the
aging equipment. Poles scheduled to be replaced are marked with a white stripe approximately 5 feet
above ground level. A map of the work zone is located on the back of the flier.

PROJECT BENEFITS
The project will enhance reliability by replacing older
poles in our system. The installation of new poles,
relocation of wire and equipment to the new poles is
an important investment in infrastructure.

PROJECT IMPACTS & TIMELINE


The project is anticipated to start in mid-to-late
March 2017. Crews will be working throughout the
south end of City Lights service territory.
Maintenance power outages are required to do the
work safely. Crews will place a door hanger or make
personal contact 48-72 hours in advance of outages.
The notification will specify the date, time and
duration of the outage.
The new poles will be placed alongside pre-existing
poles. They will meet standard heights and widths
