LGI UPdates
Skills Development and Job Placement Program
LGI has been serving a few
churches for two years now
through our ministry of
Prayer and Bible Education.
One day, I asked myself-
What is LGI doing for the
poor? Particularly, for their
physical needs? My answer
was- Nothing!
I remembered God’s word
that says- “What good is it,
my brothers, if a man claims
to have faith but has no
deeds? Can such faith save
him? Suppose a brother or
sister is
without
clothes and
daily
food. If
one of you
says to him,
"Go, I wish you well; keep

single mothers, elderly, the

HOPE wants to mold charac-
ter, train for skills and find

LGI had 77 graduates from its
One-Year Bible Curriculum
last March 2006, and most of
these graduates are
professionals and are willing
to impart not only Bible
truths but also their
respective professional
expertise for LGI’s
Employable Skills
Development Program.
Courses offered will be in the
areas of health/bedside care,
arts and crafts, homemaking,
English-speaking skills,
God led me to design a pro-
gram to include these under-
privileged, not only in the
area of spirituality, but also,
to meet their psychological
and socio-economic needs.
In October 6, 2006, the LGI
Board happily approved a

personality development,
cosmetology, massage and
the like.
We have pastors, educators,
psychologists, medical
professionals, and a
registered social worker
helping us develop our
Curriculum.
There are no shortcuts to
Character Building and
Employable Skills
Development. LGI’s Project
HOPE is committed to MOLD,
TRAIN, AND FIND JOBS, to
help ‘God’s Special
People’ (GSP’s) possess their
future!

sive Curriculum and Job
Placement Scheme. This is to
be launched in June next
school year, by God’s grace.
GSP’s will advance the
Jesus-Agenda in their
workplaces
Can you imagine- we will be
sending these LGI graduates
(or “God’s Special People”–
GSP’s) to places of work as
Yayas, where they can pray
for children and teach them
to prays in Jesus’ name; as
Bantays for the sick who
know how to lay hands, cast
out pain and release
healing; as Sales Clerks who
are known for honesty and
integrity; as Helpers or
Katiwalas who can pray for
their employers; as senior
citizens who can do part-
time Clerical Work in
church offices; as
Beauticians or Massage
Therapists who can easily
share the gospel.
In other words, these GSP’s
will be our LGI
missionaries, advancing the
Jesus-Agenda in homes,
stores, factories, beauty
shops, offices, companies,
wherever God sends them!

Status Report to LGI Pledgors (June-November 2006)
Let me report to you what your money
has been doing since June 2006.
Some of you as of this writing have had
blessings, some have had trials (financial
even), some had struggles—I was with
you always, in the bond of prayer and
concern. Some lost their jobs yet insist
on giving just the same—I can never
comprehend that kind of commitment.
Some said they earn more now, so they
pledged more than I asked. Some, espe-
cially Joyce and Tina, raised funds from
over a dozen of their friends, who,
amazingly, raised funds from their
friends!
I cannot comprehend the anointing that
makes people ask their friends to give,
and more incredible is why people who
do not know LGI, give so generously. I
think your giving has ushered in a great
anointing of giving!

(LGI) is a non-stock, non-profit organiza-
tion established in 2003. LGI is run and
maintained by Christians committed to
help develop the Total Person in spirit,
soul and body.
The Total Person is a godly individual of
integrity, good moral character and em-
ployable skills.
LGI’s contribution to nation-building is
