though she most likely cheated on the King before he died , there is no evidence that she was part
of the murder. Gertrude escapes her serious emotions with excuses and distractions rather than
actually helping her son. She only shows her genuine emotion when confronted by Hamlet. The

This article focuses on the idea brought up by the evidence in the story that Ophelia is pregnant
with Hamlets child. In the song she sings, Ophelia shows that she regrets her pregnancy with her
song, and references certain herbs that are known to end pregnancy to show that she does not
want her baby. This is likely because of the abandonment Ophelia felt when Hamlet left her. She
wants to marry and be with Hamlet, but hamlet leaves her and ends up killing her father which is
not at all what she had hoped for. These events lead to her drowning herself later in the play.
This article brings up the characterization of Claudius by Hamlet, and how all these features
arent necessarily true. These characterizations include things like Claudius ugly appearance, his
sensual nature, his robbing of the crown, his faulty marriage, and his murderous nature. Each of
