The research paper presents thought-provoking statements that make the readers think of
their implications in real life. For example, the statements the literature in this area primarily
focuses on whether such parenting affects childrens emotional well-being and ability to take
responsibility (Bradley-Geist & Olson-Buchanan, 2014, p. 315) and we anticipate that people
who over-parent are also involved parents but that involved parents are not necessarily over-
parenting (Bradley-Geist & Olson-Buchanan, 2014, p. 316) can make a reader interested to
finish reading the paper and can help a reader to decipher the purport of the research paper.
Thinking prospectively, the readers would also think the futuristic significance of the research
paper.
The author puts previous researches that suggest that over-parenting poses neutral or
positive effects to college students life even if there are studies that overtly explain its negative

consequences. Even if it makes the totality of the research work unbiased by providing other
similar studies, the addition of the information of the contradictory side adds to the ambiguity of
and decentered the research paper. Even if the research paper finally concludes the negative
corollaries of over-parenting to college students life, the veracity becomes vague because the
authors did not disapprove the arguments and research methods of the studies supporting the
contradictory side.
The research paper, itself, admits that the study is not definite because of measurement
and sample issues, making the research paper not absolutely reliable. It only gives us a result
based from a limited scope.
However, the authors have achieved their intended goals of examining the antecedents
and effects of over-parenting in relation to college students.
Although it is advisable that this research paper must be read so that readers will be
informed about the reasons why parents over-parent and its consequences to college students life
and workplace behavior, the limitations and implicitness nevertheless make it not totally reliable.
The essay The Naked and the Nude by Kenneth Clark is an excellent read.
It modifies the vast history of the nude in modern art from the ancient Greek sculptures
up to the modern art, simplifying the contexts and emphasizing concepts and ideas inextricable
to the modern essence of nude art. It tells how Greeks used the concept of geometry and
proportion to construct their creations conventionally about gods and goddesses, and heroes.
The author gives us very different interpretation and answer to this complex and broad
domain. The study of the evolution of beauty is life-changing, shaking a persons rigid
perception of human body and modern art.
The essay Art Objects by Jeanette Winterson draws curiosity and, at the same time,
turmoil.
She illustrates how works of fine visual art with all its invisibly embedded wonder and
beauty impress her. Understanding herself and her sense of appreciation to a work of art, she
takes time to appreciate and truly recognize the beauty from within the piece of art. There arises
the question why people are so unable to see and feel how beautiful works of art can be.
This is because our society does not train us to see. And to see means to see the
internal beauty of a work of art with all its undifferentiated meanings and interpretation that a
spectator draws. We, as people, expect immediate gratification and pleasure from what we see.
Due to this, we become fearful because we are uncomfortable having something unanswered in
us: Why dont I appreciate its beauty when, in fact, many people do?.
She says good art makes essential reflections to people. It challenges the ego, persona
and perceptions of people.
The essay is original and well-written. Though it is not directed to par audiences because
they may find the essay not easily understandable, great comprehension makes the essay
meaningful and worthy to read.
