ISSN Reflection

My French teacher assigned us a project about crepes. The purpose of this project was to

make a crepe with given directions in French on how to do it and learn more about the French

culture. I was eager to perform this project because I wanted to try a crepe and make it myself. A

goal I set for myself before I did my PowerPoint was to make the crepe fancy or creative.

Choosing the ingredients was a tough decision because there are so many brands. The

first action I took was buying the ingredients. After I bought the ingredients I then proceeded to

making the crepe. While I was making the crepe I had to look through the steps which were

written in French. Towards the end I added toppings to make it look attractive.

Reading directions in French helped me follow directions better and learn new words in

French. I performed the project by myself so I learned that I can accomplish big things on my

own. I excelled on following directions in French. If I were to go back and do something

differently about this project, it would be the toppings I add on the crepe. I felt proud that I was

able to cook something that is from a different culture. I was disappointed in myself because I

wasnt able to flip the crepe like the directions said to do.

I recognized and weighed perspectives by creating a crepe that is different from my

culture. I took action by sharing some crepes to my family so they can have a cultural experience
of France. I communicated ideas by selecting appropriate technology and media to communicate

and collaborate with diverse audiences.
