To Whom It May Concern,
It is my great pleasure to recommend to you a very talented teacher, Rachel Brekke. | have worked with
Rachel for the last three years and am impressed with her growth as a special education teacher serving
a diverse group of high needs students.
Rachel started teaching at Donaldson Elementary @s a “grow your own” teacher. From the start, she
demonstrated love and compassion for the students she worked with and was able to hold them
accountable for their learning and behavior. She is well organized, individualizes lessons for each of her
students, communicates effectively with those involved with her students (including parents), and
makes sure her paperwork isin order. When asked at any time about one of her students, she is able to
give an up to date explanation as to how the student is performing, Being in a high needs classroom,
Rachel is highly effective at managing the teacher assistants assigned to her classroom and to individual
students as they go out to general education classrooms.
In addition to fulfilling her responsibilities to her students, Rachel often volunteers to participate and
support before and after school activities for the Donaldson community.
Rachel is one of those unique teachers who is dedicated to her students and to being the best possible
teacher for her students. It is a genuine pleasure to work with her. Having been a previous spi
education administrator, ! would hire Rachel without reservation.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have regarding her.
Cordially,
