COMFORTDELGRO TO DEVELOP NEXT GENERATION TAXI

BOOKING SYSTEM

11 August 2003 - ComfortDelGro's subsidiary, CityCab, has appointed CET

Technologies to develop a new taxi booking system known as the Integrated Transport
Management System (ITMS). ITMS, will utilise the General Packet Radio Service
(GPRS) technology to wirelessly connect the entire fleet of taxis.

Ease of driver operations

ITMS comes with a new in-vehicle-device that sports a big and bright 7-inch TFT (thin
film transistor) glare-resistant touch-screen display. This will present drivers clear on-
screen data for easy viewing. The combination of the bigger screen and built-in GPRS
transceiver offers greater communications flexibility including providing drivers with
digitised maps and real-time information, such as flight arrivals and departures. StarHub
will provide the GPRS service.

Better customer service

The system is able to continuously track the location and status of each taxi. This allows
us to assign the best available taxi to our commuters faster. Once the system is fully
implemented, commuters can look forward to: -

1. Shorter cycle time to book a taxi;

2. Better taxi match rate through multiple despatching methods;
3. Shorter waiting time; and
4. Customised transport products and services/solutions.

More details of the key benefits are in Annex 1.

Scalability
The ITMS is an enterprise business system built to support multiple taxi and other fleet
operations. It allows multiple service providers to operate from a single call centre, whilst
maintaining the identity and operating rules of the different operations. CityCab's
existing booking system will migrate to ITMS first, to be followed by the Comfort /
Yellow-Top booking system. Eventually, ComfortDelGro's entire fleet of more than
16,400 taxis will have a common booking system in ITMS.

Commenting on the new booking system, ComfortDelGro's Managing Director and

Group CEO, Mr Kua Hong Pak said, "This new system is an essential upgrade that
harnesses improvement in technology to better serve our customers and taxi drivers
and to stay ahead of competition. The system is designed to pave the way for a single
call centre for both Comfort and CityCab that will improve efficiencies."
The first rollout is expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2004, with CityCab
having a full system rollout by mid-2005. The other two taxi subsidiaries of
ComfortDelGro, Comfort Transportation and Yellow-Top Cabs, will then migrate to the
new system. When fully implemented, customers can access all ComfortDelGro taxis
through one number.
