LESSON PLAN IN GRADE-7 FOURTH QUARTER

(Statistics- Organizing and Presentation of Data Using Graph)

I. LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the end of the discussion, the students are expected to:
a. identify the different graphs;
b. use appropriate graph to represent the organized data; and
c. give the importance of graphs in real life situation.

II. LEARNING CONTENT

a. TOPIC : Statistics (Organizing and Presentation of Data Using Graph)
b. REFERENCES : K to 12 Mathematics Learning Materials
c. MATERIALS : Chalk board, laptop, projector, cartolina strips

III. LEARNING PROCEDURE

I. PRELIMINARIES:
a. Prayer
b. Greetings
c. Checking of attendance and cleanliness of the classroom

II. LESSON PROPER

1. INTRODUCTION
Review
- What is statistics?
- What are the methods in collecting data?
Motivation
FOUR PICS ONE WORD. In this game, the teacher will present
4 pictures and let the learners identify the pictures presented.
2. INTERACTION
Activity
KNOW ME!.
- In this activity, the teacher will present pictures of graph and
let the students identify what kind of graph presented.
Discussion
Discuss the kinds of graphs.
- Line Graph a graph which points representing of a
variable for suitable values. It connects with the broken line.
- Bar Graph a graph or chart that uses narrow columns of
different heights to show and compare different amounts.
- Pie Graph a graph represented by a circle divided into
slices or sectors.
- Pictograph a diagram representing statistical data by
pictorial forms.
Generalizaton
- In organizing and presenting data, what tools we are going
to use?
- What are those kinds of graph?
3. INTEGRATION
We used a graph in presenting data so that our data will be
organized. In making decisions in our life, is it important to
organize your thoughts and your plans? Why?

IV. EVALUATION
GROUP WORK.
Mechanics:
1. Divide the students into four groups.
2. Select a leader and secretary
3. Let the group collect the data from each member.
4. Organize the data collected through a graph.
5. Select one representative from the group and present it to the class.

Rubrics for presentation of outputs.

Delivery 10 points
Correctness 20 points
Contents 20 points
Total 50 points

V. ASSIGNMENT
In a long bond paper, create a data based on your daily allowance, organize
and present it using the graph. Find appropriate graph for that data.
