PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Plan and implement Literacy programs for at-risk children in Grades 2-3
Organize school activities for ELL children and their families to help foster a positive
multicultural school community.
Used Literacy Place to implement reading and writing lessons that taught children skills at
their specific pre-assessed learning levels.
Enhanced student academic and social growth by using varied teaching strategies and
techniques; including whole group, individual, small group and teacher modeling to provide
a solid academic foundation and structure.
Facilitated regular formative and summative assessments to ensure students were being
successful with their learning.
Instructed in a Blended Grade 4/5 classroom with proven success in finding connections in curricular
outlines and lesson development to meet the academic and social needs of every learner. Taught
Literacy 4/5, Math 4/5, Science 4/5, Social 4/5, Religion 4/5, Art 4/5, Music 4/5, and Health 4/5.
Literacy Place teaching including Read Alouds, Shared Reading and Guided Reading lessons
