Fleece Fabric Wanted!!
Heart of a Hero is an organization that helps give hope to children
with cancer. They send Spiderman to visit the children and give
donations whenever possible. Tiara Simonton spoke with Ricky
Mena, the founder of Heart of a Hero, and asked how she can help.
He said they need many fleece blankets to give to the children he
visits. Tiara is preparing to make and donate blankets to the
organization but is in need of fleece fabric. She is asking for
donations of fleece fabric in 1 yard increments in childrens patterns
or solid colors. Please bring your donations to room 40 by March
16th.
Pi Day is Coming Soon!
"Do you like free stuff? Do you like pie? Of course you do! And
March 14th is just the day you've been waiting for! That's right,
3-14. PI DAY! The day you get free pie! All you have to do is
memorize and recite the first 20 digits of pi during lunch for a free
slice. Yep, just memorize 3.1 4 1 5 9 2 6 5 3 5 8 9 7 9 3 2 3 8 4 6 and
you'll get your choice of pie. It's easier than cake! So start

8th Grade Yearbook Ads- DUE DATE EXTENDED
Due to MANY, MANY, MANY requests, the submission date for 8th
grade Yearbook ads has been extended! All ads must be submitted
by Friday, March 17th. Go to www.yearbookordercenter.com ,
enter school code 10042 and click create an ad.
Library Closures this week
Plan ahead as the Library will be closed Tomorrow and Thursday
next week before school and during lunch. No lunch passes will be
granted. You can still return books.
Posters on sale in the Library
Visit the library to purchase a poster for $4.00 (discounted from
$5.15). There is only one copy of each available. They make great
gifts, or just to decorate a special place at home. Profits benefit the
library for new books.
BasketBall Uniform Return
6th grade boys basketball players, if you have not returned your
uniform, please do so to Mr. Sain in room 50 by Thursday. Players
who have not returned their uniforms will have to pay for
replacements so get them in!
Adams Rock Band
Do you wanna rock? Adams is looking for a few students who want
to be part of the Adams Yellow Jackets Rock band. If you are
interested, please stop by and see Mr. Bullington by the end of the
day to let him know that you are interested.
Volleyball Tryouts 6th & 7th grade ONLY!
Tryouts are Today and Tomorrow from 3:00-4:30. Please note:
You must attend BOTH days and have paperwork with you and
filled out in order to be considered for the team!
Future Friday Presentations
On Friday, March 17th each grade level will have their own
assembly to help them prepare for their FUTURE year of
school! 6th and 7th graders will get information on elective and
enrichment classes. 8th graders will get information from HHS
Students about high school and get a chance to ask questions
about what high school will be like!
7th and 8th Grade Elective Wheel Rotations
After break, you will have a new elective! Write down your new
class in your planner so you remember- if you forget, go see an
elective teacher. Do not go to the office for a new schedule.
