Re : Recommendation of OTP 154 SHAN V. CALUBAYAN

We would like to recommend for promotion of OTP 154 Trainee, Shan V.

Calubayan from Management Trainee to Assistant Business Manager. He passed
the program with a rating of 92.58% as follows:
Introductory Phase 93.83 (25%)
On the Job Training Phase 90.00 (25%)
Operations Exam and Revalida 91.49 (25%)
Project Paper 95.00 (25%)

Shan V. Calubayan was assigned at BPI Ayala Triangle for his on-the-job
training where he learned the technical and supervisory skills required of a Service
Officer. He was able to introduce a process improvement:

Assignment of priority numbers for low counter customers with self-

service instruction. A visible standee shows the list of most frequent
transactions of the branch which necessitate an application/ request form to
be filled up. An instruction will prompt the client to fill up the form in advance
after getting a priority number. This will organize the queuing system and
lessen the processing time since the form is being accomplished while on
queue. Lastly, advertisements of the banks products are printed at the back
of each numbers to strengthen the cross-selling initiatives of the branch.

For the project paper requirement, he with a co-trainee prepared a project

entitled Creation of GASS Accredited Supplier Database and Directory. The
primary objectives of the study were to automate and enhance the data
management of accredited suppliers and to centralize the list throughout the
Unibank. Currently, the supplier data is manually recorded in an excel file. Also, the
supplier directory in the Lotus Notes is not updated and is unutilized. The specific
outputs are the following: 1.) creation of GASS database using Lotus Approach 2.)
creation of separate GASS directory in Lotus Notes. The benefits of the project are
the following:

Enhance the management of supplier data and lessen the errors due to
manual handling.
Aid the monitoring of the validity of accreditations of each supplier for
various commodities through the reports generated.

Lessen the processing time of encoding new supplier data and updating of
existing supplier data.

Centralize and update the records of accredited suppliers from various

proponents.

Lessen the number of inquiries directed to GASS regarding the accredited

suppliers.

The project was successfully presented and defended to the panel composed
of 1.) AVP Harold Taguba 2.) SM Alice Realuyo, last November 24, 2014.

The trainee has no negative record of financial responsibility, attendance, and

punctuality.

Mr. Calubayans final assignment will be in BPI Kidapawan with BR Code 866
as Service Officer.

Thank you.
