OneDrive:
Adding Files to the OneDrive
1. Open OneDrive
2. Click on Files
3. Double click on the folder on your computer that you want to upload

4. Select the Files that you want to Upload


a. Hold down the SHIFT key to select Multiple Files that are beside each other
b. Hold down the CTRL key to select Multiple Files not beside each other
5. Click on Open your files will be uploaded to the OneDrive

6. You can create new Folders to hold documents within the OneDrive by Selecting New

7. Name your Folder and click Create


You can Assign rights to the Files in Your OneDrive (this makes it possible for people to see and edit your documents).

8. Click on the Select Button to the left of the file and then on the Shared Control

9. To Share the document with MVESC Employees, click on Invite People


10. Type the name of the MVESC Employee in the name box and select the person that you wish to share with
11. Set the Share Controls (Require Sign-In, Send an Email, Can Edit, View Only)

12. Set the View and Edit Rights to the document to be shared
Sharing Documents with NON-MVESC Employees
13. Select Get a Link

14. Set the desired Share Options (Edit, Sign In, Expiration, MVESC Only) and click on Close.

15. Notify people that they may access the file you have shared with them by Copying the Link and emailing it to
them

Sharing Documents with a Group


16. You can Share with ALL SST employees by assigning rights to a group. To do this, Type SST 12 in the Invite
People Text box. All members of the group SST 12 will get an email with a link to the document.
Viewing Documents that Have Been Shared by Someone Else
17. From the Main Menu of the OneDrive, Click on Shared with me. You will see all the files and folders that
others have shared with you. The key to this working is that you need to organize things BEFORE sharing them!
The Owner of the files should organize everything.
a. Create Folders with Names that are obvious
b. Create Folders within Folders if Needed
c. Assign sharing rights (Edit or View Only) as needed
d. Let people know that you have shared something with them (Email link)

You can see what is shared with you and by whom using the information at the right.
Viewing Files
18. You can change the way that files and folders are presented by changing from the List View to the Tile View. List
View is when you are shown the name of the file in a column and Tile View is when you are shown a graphic
representation of the file or folder. Tile View is useful as it shows a small image of the type of file and its
contents. Perhaps you will be able to find things faster by visually seeing the first page of the file.

19. You can change from List View to Tile View by clicking on the View Control to the right of the sort button. The
Sort button will allow you to arrange the files and folders by alphabetical order as well as date or file size.
